Mia's Assignment( The Third week)


1. How do you use database ?
* I'll put all the information of my students about their first names,last nams,

ages,addresses,telephones ,parents' names,hight, weight,hobbies, favorite
subjects,their pets,best friends,sex, the signs of zodiac ,the subject of low
achievement,primary schools , primary school teachr's name , religions and
mother language and skills they have . Then I can sort the information I want.
2. How do your students use database ?
* My students don't use database.
3. What else do you like to do with DB ?
* I 'll input information of my family, friends, classmates, and colleagues.
Then I can search the data what I want , like making a list of their birthday
on the same day.
* I'll let students create database about English vocabularies they learn.
Then we can sort the information about words. We can have our own
"Word Band".
4. How do you use spreadsheets ?
*I use EXCEL to calcute students grades and to make school report cards.
5. How do your students use spreadsheets ?
*My students seldom use spreadsheets.
6.What else do you like to do with SS ?
* I think I can use spreadsheets to create wordpuzzles for students to
learn English.
*I will use sreadsheet to form a expense sheet of class.

    You mentioned that you can ask your students make their own word banks through DB. I think it is a excellent idea that I have never thought about. Through this process of keying in the content and usage of the vocabularies by DB, they can understand and use the vocabularies better.

I think you are a thoughtful teacher.You always care about students.We spend much time to teach students but we still have a lot of things to do.How to use new techs well is important for teachers.Through MET programs,I think you will get advanced in tech use.Nothing is impossible for you,I think.
